Rangitaiki Independent School is a boutique private school just out of Whakatane in the Bay of Plenty of New Zealand.
We offer both short term and year long programmes. We are the only private school in the Bay of Plenty accredited to take Year 7-11 overseas students. We provide an excellent quality of education. This is supported by all our Education Review Office reports.
Our school is a small family orientated establishment, a nurturing environment where all home stays are of the highest standard and, if possible, with existing students and their families. Home stay parents are given training on how best to support overseas students.
Rangitaiki Independent School has excellent pupil teacher ratios (1 to 18 maximum) and we are able to provide an individualized Second Language Programme.
To ensure that we provide the best service we accept no more than 5 long term international students or 5 short stay students (one term). Our area provides a safe small town environment and a wide range of outdoor activities. We are close to Rotorua, one of the major tourist centres of New Zealand.
