Rangitaiki Independent School. Just outside Whakatane, at Coastlands, you will find a beautiful little school. When we first came with our three children … I had told  my kids that they were going to have to go through tough times. They did not speak very good English and I reckoned they would have difficulties being understood.

But they came smiling back from school the very first day. And nine months later they were still smiling. During the holidays they actually asked when they were returning to school.  They were missing it! So why is this?

It’s a small school, with small classes, a caring environment and an individually facilitated teaching. The Rangitaiki Independent School has been excellent  for our three kids, they have learned things they never would have learned in Norway and their confidence and self-esteem has grown considerably during this months. We recommend this school for everyone who is thinking of moving to New Zealand or who lives in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
