pukeko room

For three and four year olds

We are situated by the beach in the peaceful surroundings of Coastlands, on the grounds of Rangitaiki Independent School. Our large indoor, outdoor areas ensure the children have plenty of room for the vast selections of play areas.

The Pukeko Room is specifically designed for our 4 year olds to prepare them for a smooth transition to school. Literacy and numeracy are incorporated in all areas of play so that the children are prepared for school while having  fun. The Pukeko  room has regular visits from the New Entrant class of Rangitaiki Independent School for buddy reading. As they near school age, the Pukeko Room  children visit the New Entrant class twice a week. Feedback from parents and New Entrant teachers, has assured us that our transition to school process is very successful in preparing children for a smooth progression into school.

The  Pukeko Room are involved in some Rangitaiki Independent School activities.  These include:

Gala Day
